I am so excited to be a part of this fun blog tour today with some amazing bloggers. We will be sharing our outdoor spaces for summer inspiration. There is so much beautiful inspiration so be sure to read the other bloggers posts linked at the bottom of the post. In Arizona, it already feels like summer! Summers in Arizona are spent indoors or in the pool, during the day and in the evenings it’s beautiful to entertain outdoors. I was excited to start working on my outdoor space in between some other house projects I have been working on. I wanted to create a space to entertain our friends and family in, as well as have a cozy spot to enjoy my coffee while the girls play outside in the morning. Sharing today my tips on how to create a perfect patio retreat and getaway.

HOW TO CREATE A PERFECT PATIO RETREAT AND GETAWAY
I can’t believe we are already in May! This year is flying by and summer is already creeping up on us. I love entertaining over the summer by barbecuing and having friends over. In designing this space I had two functions in mind that I wanted to achieve. I wanted a space to relax in and a place to entertain and host dinners. I really wanted the space to have a comfortable, somewhat boho vibe to it.
A few things to keep in mind when creating a patio retreat is to think almost as if you are planning your outdoor space for the inside of your home. Always include rugs, textiles, mood lighting, and other accessories to create a space that is inviting and comfortable. One that makes you comfortable allows you to enjoy your outdoor space.
In creating this design, I was most excited about this seating area! I look forward to sitting out here and enjoying my cup of coffee. The chairs in my sitting area are from Article. They are so fun and unique. I love that they compliment the boho vibe I was going for. They were budget friendly which was another plus and you have flat rate shipping regardless of what you order which was another added bonus! 
I layered a sheepskin rug on top of the chair. I love that this chair can also work indoors. I layered the space with various lanterns, a smaller patterned rug, side table, plants, and outdoor poufs. We also added string lighting above our patio so at night time it has pretty mood lighting in conjunction with the lanterns.
I also added curtains around the patio to block out some of the sun during the day. It also adds a resort vibe to the space. 
On the table I layered with placemats, lanterns, and a succulent for greenery. I also paired a large rug with the table.
