Happy Wednesday, friends! Can you all believe it is almost the fourth of July? It is finally starting to feel like summer in Southern California. We are spending so much more time outdoors now that it is finally warming up. I am so excited to share two outdoor makeovers I completed with At Home today. The goal of each space was to create a fun space to relax in all while being budget friendly! I am so excited to share these patio and backyard makeovers on a budget with At Home.
This post has been sponsored by At Home, however, all opinions are my own.
The first space I designed was for my own backyard. As you can see in the photos, it isn’t a very large space. However, we wanted a nice space to relax, in front of the fountain. It’s the perfect spot to kick up your feet after a long day or start the morning outside with a cup of coffee. My goal was to create a space that was comfortable and shaded. We love these arm chairs and comfy poufs to put your feet up on or use for additional seating. The stripe umbrella added the perfect amount of shade to the space as we get quite a bit of sun.
At Home has a unique selection of furniture and accessories along with budget friendly prices. They have such an amazing selection that is constantly changing and all different styles so it made this backyard makeover a breeze.
The second space I designed was an apartment patio. This large patio was the perfect canvas to create a comfortable space to relax in as well as a space to entertain and dine.
1). Decide the purpose of the space i.e. dining vs. sitting/relaxing. Center your furniture around that.
2). Create a comfortable space with textiles such as pillows and blankets.
3). Add plants in fun pots and planters, they add so much to a space from adding color to making a space more inviting.
4). Add shade with fun umbrellas – At Home has so many fun options. You can go bold with a stripe or print or keep it simple.
5). Add ambiance with candles, lanterns, and string lights.
6). Add fun accent furniture for tables and or poufs to make your space unique and functional!
At Home had so many fun outdoor pots and planters. I layered a few on the table to center the table.
I added a tropical faux outdoor plant along with real plants placed throughout. As well as some lanterns to create ambiance.
I layered the dining table with placemats and fun outdoor plants.
I had so much fun selecting and piecing these two spaces together! All while staying on budget. Check out the video below to see the spaces come together.
I hope you enjoyed this patio and backyard makeover on a budget with At Home.
