Today, I am getting personal on the blog and chatting all about self-care! As a Mompreneur, and mom of two little girls, life as you can imagine, is busy! When I was busy with my career prior to having kids I realized how important it was for me to take time out of my schedule to do things for myself. Once I became a Mom, I realized that setting time in my schedule for self-care was so important. I am excited to chat about preparing for summer vacations and the importance of self-care today with you all!
When I had the opportunity to work with Waxing The City, I was so excited! I love taking time out to pamper myself. I actually time block it monthly. I love getting my nails done, my eyebrows waxed monthly, and doing coffee dates with friends. When I schedule these things for myself I feel so much better and refreshed. Not to mention, I look better too!
Here are a few tips that I recommend for self-care:
1). Put in the budget monthly, (even if that means skipping your coffee stops, make it at home it’s worth it!)
2). Put it in the calendar in advance.
My first stop for preparing for my summer vacation was at Waxing The City they offer all different types of waxing and hair removal. I opted for the eyebrow wax! Eyebrow shaping is extremely important to me since it frames my eyes and face. My Waxing The City Cereologist Hannah from their North Scottsdale location, was amazing! She and I chatted before we even got started and I even learned some new things!
What I loved about Waxing The City, is that my waxing expert Hannah had extensive experience! She made me feel so comfortable about the experience and I felt confident about having her help shape my eyebrows. Their Cereologists are eyebrow experts. Hannah first consulted on the shape with me, she then cleaned and powdered my eyebrows to make sure the wax picked up the stray eyebrow hairs. She then waxed and trimmed my eyebrows. She used a tool on me I had never heard of called a Dermawand. The Dermawand helps prevent irritation and breakouts and did wonders on helping my eyebrows not get irritated. Then she put lavender on my eyebrows to soothe the skin. It was such a great experience! I can’t wait to go back. They also offer a full line of eyebrow products to enhance your eyebrows as well.
They do all different types of body hair removal in addition to eyebrow shaping. What I love about waxing with Waxing The City is that when you wax consistently your hair grows back slower and finer, giving you better long term results. Which means less hair and some even say it stops hair growth completely, sounds amazing to me!
They have an amazing selection of beauty products.
Waxing The City has a great new offer -to get rid of all that body hair you don’t want to showcase on your summer vacation! The City is here with an offer that’s hard to refuse! First-time customers get 50% off any service. Call or book an appointment with Waxing The City so you can enjoy a hair-free, care-free summer.

Us moms taking time for ourselves is so important! Even if it’s only an hour. I love that you schedule time for you. It makes such a huge difference mentally in our busy lives. I need to see if they have a location by me. Love that they take care to keep the brows from getting irritated because mine always break out after a wax!
It is so important to set that time for yourself. Mine always did before too but I had a great experience!
I’ll need to check them out! I have sensitive skin, so it sounds like they have the expertise to guide me in the right waxes, that won’t bother my skin.
I have sensitive skin as well! It was a great experience, I definitely would recommend it.
