Southern California Living: Oak Walk Homes in Los Alamitos
Happy Monday! This week I had an opportunity to visit the Oak Walk townhomes in Los Alamitos. Olson Homes built a beautiful community in a great location in Southern California. I will be sharing a sneak peek of their gorgeous models and design features with you all. The Neighborhood:
The townhomes are in a great location in Southern California in the award-winning Los Alamitos Unified School District with a short walk to cafes and stores. The community has a fun neighborhood feel! The townhomes all have an outdoor deck or patio to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or beautiful California sunset in the evening, something I always appreciate here in Southern California!
Design Features:
The models were gorgeous! They had such beautiful features. Olson Homes made sure they used a significant amount of windows throughout the homes for beautiful natural light which makes such a difference within a home. The homes have such a great flow to the with open floorplans, perfect for entertaining, and bedrooms private from the living spaces.
The kitchens had beautiful features from options with two-tone cabinets, stone countertops, and nice islands. As an interior designer, I love two-tone cabinets! It doesn’t work in every kitchen but it can be such a beautiful feature and make the kitchen stand out.
Most of the floor plans had second floor laundry rooms close to bedrooms which as a Mom makes doing laundry a breeze and so much more convenient! In our previous home we had a laundry room on the first floor while our bedrooms where on the second-floor. Having a laundry room on the second-floor makes such a difference!
Olson Connected Tech: Smart Homes
Oak Walk has all kinds of amazing options to make your home a smart home! From motorized blinds that you can tell Alexa to close, options with smart appliances, and connected Lutron light switches with voice control capability at the living room and master bedroom. You can also control your thermostat anywhere with the Nest app and improve your energy efficiency. I love this for when we leave town and forget to adjust the thermostat. Not only can adjust it anywhere you can also increase your energy efficiency.
Both models were so pretty as you can see in the photos. The first model used the space exceptionally well with the design. It has an open floorplan with private bedrooms on the third floor.
The Isidore model was gorgeous! It had a beautiful floorplan with a stunning large great room and is very spacious. It also has a nice patio off the living room, three great sized bedrooms on the second level, and a bonus room or fourth bedroom on the third floor. All floorplans feature side by side, 2-car garages and plenty of storage throughout. All things we can appreciate!
