MODERN LIVING ROOM MAKEOVER ON A BUDGET: ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 4
This week has had the most change in the space. Majority of my furniture arrived! This week I received the coffee table, one of the two chairs, a wood bench for additional seating, and my sofa. The furniture has transformed the space and I am so pleased with what I chose. All of the furniture mentioned is from Overstock. The sofa is an off white linen from Inspire Q and I absolutely love it in the space. All of the furniture is budget friendly which is always a plus.
I am excited to be changing out the drapery in the space. I picked out some swatches from Half Priced Drapes. I chose a light gray velvet that will add contrast and beautiful texture to the room. I was excited to find some options I really like, especially since it’s challenge to find 10 foot tall curtains that are not custom. I just received the drapery so I will be hanging them this weekend. I can’t wait to show you all next week how they look!
NEXT STEPS:
- Hang drapery
- Finalize textiles and pillow orders
- Hang artwork
- Accessorize & style
MY LIVING ROOM GOALS:
To create chic modern comfortable space that we enjoy entertaining and relaxing in!

BEFORE:
The picture below is right before we moved in. The space was very neutral to start. We changed out the floors painted and removed the pillars in the space to open the room up, and it feels so much bigger now.
