MODERN LIVING ROOM MAKEOVER ON A BUDGET: ONE ROOM CHALLENGE WEEK 5

WEEK 5 PROGRESS:

This week I added more accessories, new drapery, and artwork which really changed up the space. I am excited with how bright and a cheery it is in here now. I am currently working on finalizing accessories, pillows, and additional artwork.

FURNITURE:

I chose this white round coffee table to add some dimension in the space against the sofa. The accent chair has a mid-century modern feel and is so comfortable. I should receive the second chair soon. The sofa is an off white linen from Inspire Q and I absolutely love it in the space. We are so happy with all the furniture pieces I chose! All of the furniture mentioned is from Overstock, I love their price point and variety of pieces.

I chose this wood bench for additional seating and love the way it breaks up the white wall. I added a faux sheepskin throw to add some softness. The artwork I am still finalizing for this space and will be adding some pillows to the bench this weekend.

The drapery is from Half Priced Drapes. These drapes couldn’t be more perfect! They work great with our 10 foot ceilings. The drapes soften the space. The fabric and quality of these are extremely high end and are thankfully budget-friendly! The color I chose was their Signature Reflection Grey Blackout Velvet.

NEXT STEPS THIS WEEK:

1. Finalize the second art piece
2. Finalize pillows
3. Accessorize & style

MY LIVING ROOM GOALS:

To create chic modern comfortable space that we enjoy entertaining and relaxing in!

The picture below is right before we moved in. The space was very neutral to start. We changed out the floors painted and removed the pillars in the space to open the room up, and it feels so much bigger now.
