So about a month ago on a kitchen designing expedition to the beautiful new Howard’s Appliances Flagship in Marina Pacifica Center in Long Beach, I was introduced to the kitchen of tomorrow, happening today.
Controlling your kitchen remotely with an app is an absolute game-changer! The Monogram Appliances SmartHQ app allows you to control and check in on your appliances, but also check their diagnostics (appliance health). It’s truly amazing how these things can make life streamlined for a busy family.
It’s easy to initially be a little skeptical of smart appliances. Are these just extra bells and whistles you don’t really need? The Howard’s product specialists were incredibly helpful by showing us how to use Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to set up hands-free instructions. Alexa can help you boss your appliances around with commands like “Turn off the oven”, which makes life easier for sure.
I thought of the not-so-confident cooks in my life, and how much they would love the 175 pre-programmed recipes. You simply search directly on your oven’s knob for the exact type of food you are cooking, and the amount. Depending on the type of food, there are further options. The oven then knows how to cook it for you. 2lbs of Filet Mignon, medium… start cooking. Immediate confidence booster.
