Something that works for me when I decorate for the holidays is that I break it down to the different areas I will be decorating and what’s needed in those areas. It keeps me on track and prevents me from buying things I don’t need! I am not one for a lot of clutter so I like to keep things simple. Typically I narrow it down to these three areas:
1). Kitchen
We spend so much time in the kitchen between cooking and entertaining we are always in the kitchen. I love having fall touches and centerpieces to complete my island accented with some pumpkins. If you have space you can break up your arrangements in a few vases and stagger them. My island is large so just one arrangement would look a little lonely.
2). Dining Room
A few essentials for my dining room are candleholders, a centerpiece, placemats, and of course pumpkins. I love to stagger candles for mood lighting in the evenings and layer it with small different colored pumpkins and a green centerpiece. I kept my centerpiece simple with eucalyptus.
3). Entry/Porch
For my entry I created this wreath last year, it was super easy. You can find the link here. I accented with some lanterns, fairy tale pumpkins (Trader Joe’s has my favs) and some white pumpkins.
I linked some fun items to incorporate for fall below.
